Snappy and demented fuses to Zombie Vikings, a darkly pleasing brawler. Sarcastically self-aware and bred on internet humor, this spot-o-mayhem casts its clean, pop-up book-esque aesthetic into a clever little tale of the undead. Coming from the studio who impressed with the surreal Stick It to the Man, it’s unsurprising to see their cultural awareness stick. Zombie Vikings isn’t a revelation, but it does grasp the necessities of the arcade beat-em-up behind the vocally clever, witty comedy.
